SAP products provide the backbone of business management software in successful companies for many years already. We support companies for over 20 years during the implementation of SAP software products and the configuration of individual modules, such as warehouse management.
The diversity of SAP standard functionalities is unique compared to products of other software providers. Whereby it is important to not confuse “standard functionalities” with “basic functionalities”: The SAP product portfolio has extended its functional scope in recent years, that are leading edge regarding the legal framework of business operations and latest business administration approaches and are able to support them with information technology. We were able to provide our experience with implementing business processes bounded by legal regulations for example in export control, terms of trade and payments, as well as documentation requirements and validations to customers from many different commercial and industrial areas.
In the last years an important additional challenge has risen, even before entering projects leading into “Industry 4.0”: To implement standard functionalities of the SAP software portfolio and substitute long grown bespoke solutions.
The biggest gain: Standard functionalities have many advantages compared to bespoke solutions due to their flexibility for future adjustments and support. Their functional scope is based on the latest knowledge in all areas of business management of the supply chain, elaborated forecasting features (supported by AI mechanisms) and a portfolio of cloud products, that enable a tight integration of traditional, internal operative business processes with those of their business partners. Following our experience these kind of projects, executed with a sharp focus on results and with a clearly defined strategic goal provide quick returns on investment and facilitate a significant reduction of total costs of ownership of enterprise software solutions.
Investment into traditional, internal core processes, into the informatics supported “crown jewels” of companies, by implementing the most recent version of SAP S4/HANA, are investment into the protection of value of those “crown jewels”. We support this generation change. With the generation of “digital twins” in digitally mapped business processes so-called “Master Data” complete their transformation into flexible digital objects that live in end-to-end business processes. Profound experience with the harmonization and migration of master data in SAP implementation and template roll-out projects has sharpen our understanding: To not view master data as solitary objects, but products of end-to-end business processes which themselves can contribute to value-add in companies. Our hands-on experience with early version of SAP MDM and during the last years with SAP MDG make us a universal partner for projects, with which companies start their journey into creating a complete digital image of their relevant business environment.
